Loss of windshield wipers, radio and clock...

After a 40+ minute drive, the windshield wipers, clock and radio cease to function reliably. The clock and radio die and wipers will not move. Seem to hear a "clicking" from somewhere, but its origin is undetermined. Sometimes they will come back on, but mostly they won't.

Suggestions on what to look for? Obviously its heat related, so that rules out fuses. Are relays subject to heat for functionality?

I would say check you fuses....likely the source of your problems, also how do you figure it heat related?...I'm sure many of us run our wipers and radios at the same time. Also the clock is on constantly....and I have most certainly driven for more than 1hr with all of those working....double check the fuses

Reason I think its heat isnt due to use at same time, or using them for extended periods of time, but rather its almost reproducablity at the 35-40 minute mark.

I can check fuses, as thats cake. Couple quick seconds with a DVM. I was almost for sure it would have to be something else.

relays could be the culprit.
