I've already removed half of my pinstripes and I moved to the rear and took off the maxima badge. I'm waiting on my adhesive remover to dry right now.

I want to take off the Nissan badge but when I used the floss on it it didn't act like the maxima emblem.

Are there holes drilled in the trunk?

Thank you very much. It's cold and dark now though so I guess I'll have to wait for my next day off

However, I did remove all of the pinstripes from the passenger side and it looks great!

If there is one piece of advice I can give you, its BE PATIENT. The key is to get off as much of that glue WITH the emblem as possible. Make sure you use a hair drier and start heating that emblem up like its no one business. Start on one side and slowly peel that side as you are heating it. Dont use a lot of force, the emeblem will practically melt off when its hot enough. If you do it right you wont have a lot of crap left over on the trunk when you take off the emblem. If you rush the job, most of the glue will be still on your trunk and you will have A LOT of work on your hands if you are looking for a clean finish. When you take off the emblem, just use goo-gone to dissolve the rest of the residue. If you're patient and do it right it will look like there was never an emblem there in the first place. If you rush and half a$$ it, your trunk will look like my friends. lol.

I used a hair drier to take off the door pillar thing. But the Maxima do not have a notch/hole like the camry do. Have fun with that.

I am going to do this as well..glad to know there are no holes...although I didnt think there where..

Off-topic.. darklegend06: How did you manage 90 at 3k RPMs? At 90 in 5th gear I am usually near the 4k range. Just wondering.. It may be auto and that could do it i guess. I have a 5spd.

You can minorly tell where my pinstripes/badges used to be. I'm sure after I clay bar it and polish/wax it it'll look like nothing was ever there.

Thanks for the tips about removing the burger, I'll probably be doing that on Sunday along with the other side of the car de-pinstriping

So I guess that means overdrive pwns 5th gear?... Oh well, you may get better gas mileage but I can still speed up faster in top gear.. Haha..

Sure, our gearing is shorter and we are cruising at 3kRPM going 75 but lets not forget that the redline is 6.5kRPM , its really nothing to cry about. If we redlined at 5.5, then I would be worried.

Nissan knew what it was doing, not having to downshift on the highway owns, to hell with a 1mpg loss. Actually, I dont even think the automatics get better mileage...

As far as debadging goes, Im still debating whether to just paint the emblems black and leave em....

What you need to do is get a hairdryer and put it close to the unmatched areas, and keep it there for about a minute, maybe a little more. Then get a hard towel(non microfiber) and put wax/polish on it. Start rubbing it, and the resedue will just glide off. I just did it yesterday, and it was soooo easy.
