To install it, you have to remove the plastic covers from the underside of the car. One I got back on without a problem, the other refuses to seat right and I think the hoses for the cooler are now in the way.

Did anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to route the hoses out of the way? Should I cut the cover to accomodate the hoses or what?

Jim, did you route/tie the lines the way Greg Prete did?

You need to route the tubes as close to the center crossmember as possible. I did that and had no problems with clearing the plastic cover on the bottom. Just hold it in place with zip ties.

I hadn't noticed until now, but that explains why Greg used that extra 3/4" of hose as "cushion" when tying the tranny lines to the crossmember........now it makes sense....

I just installed my B&M cooler last Saturday. I routed the hoses close to the centre crossmember as well. There is like a 1/2 inch gap and I ran both hoses in there, side by side. I then reattached the plastic covers back on and had no clearance problems. I followed Greg's photo instructions to a Tee except for the part where you lean back the radiator. Couldn't do that with the SC tube in the way.

I also had problem clearing the plastic cover. What I did was to put the two hoses one under each other through the gap between the edge of the radiator and part of the car's frame right next to the driver's side headlight. It had barely just enough clearance for the hose. I had to use a screwdriver to slightly bend away the metal frame from the radiator for the extra clearance.

Yes, I had 2' of heater 3/4" hose and it was barely enough. I would recommend everyone get 3', if you are going to use it at all. It prolly isn't necessary, but makes the install look a lot cleaner.

I faced mine down, but I don't think it matters other than for connecting to the rad and the return to the tranny. I did it because it was the shortest run for the lines. The B&M does have about 5' of hose with it so no need to purchase any additional.
