Question for 5=Speed Experts

There's a slotted set-screw right in the bottom of the clutch-housing case, just next to the parting-line for the transmission case. Looks like it might be stainless. Anyone know what it's for, what purpose it serves?

It's an axle for the shifter linkage, not a set screw. In fact there are two of these, and you cannot remove them without separating the halves.
