funny noises.... PLEASE HELP!!
i noticed last night that my car makes this funny noise. i actually only noticed that it makes the noise when i am stopped. it kinda sounds like a woodpecker or something. i cant really tell if its a knocking noise or what. do u think the noise might be because i run the car on 87 gas? i am curious becuase it has always been run on 87. or could something else be wrong? please help
ok, i found out whats that woodpecker noise! Its my exhaust pipes! Right before my resonator where its welded on its cracked right there! I guess the guys didnt weld it on good enuff. So Im going to take the resonator off and get new piping for that and put a regular muffler on cuz im tired of that flowmaster 40 newayz!lol Its still too loud with the resonator.
i am going to try some of these, however i spoke with this guy today, and he said it could be possible that my piston rods, which is like the main bearing could be bad. anyone ever have that problem? what were the signs?
i hear this noise sometimes too, but i can also hear it when i am driving. but with me its really wierd because only once in a while i hear it, when i drive it later its gone. i also checked the oil and thats fine...if its any use i have a 95 max and i did an oil change about 700 miles ago
yea, i dont know what it is. its very strange because i really only hear it when i am stopped or slowing to a stop. i have a 96, so aamir u have the same body style. i checked my oil cause i know sometimes that can make noise if ur low, but my oil is fine. i dont get it
Sounds like a timing chain rattle. Mine sometimes does this when I first start it. Put the end of a screwdriver to the timing chain cover and put your ear against it, if you can almost feel it in your ear thats it. just a thought
