Possible tranny problem?

Hey guys...i've noticed lately that around 2000 rpm, in any gear, acceleration feels a bit rough. As though i'm driving on rougher surface. It's very subtle but its there. It does not happen below or above 2000 rpm. By the way, i'm an auto. Any ideas as to what this may be? PS. there are no negative side effects such as loss of performance or acceleration.
