leaking coolant

Right on top of my radiator there is always a little bit of fluid around the whole lip. I changed the upper hose and it still seems to be leaking is it the radiator it self?

It could be a hairline crack in the radiator itself...
It could be a leak from the radiator cap (worn seal)...
It could be a leak from the rubber hose to the overflow tank...

you have described the same thing mine had. i just replaced the radiator with one i got on ebay. perfect ever since

Same here, mine had a hairline crack right on the top where the retangle area meets the round part. Couldn't see any leaking while idling but would leak while driving. I put some UV dye in it and ran it for a while and it was easy to spot with the UV light.

You can repair it. If its a small leak you can drain it down so the crack section is not summerged. Let it competely dry and repair the section

Hey guys,
I bet a LOT of you guys are probably against this, but when I had a crack in my sister's eclipse and my Max, I used that stop leak junk from WalMart. I ddint think it was gonna work but my dad said try it and if I dont think its working we'll flush out the system. I think it worked great. Again my opinion some of you guys mite not like it.....the reason it works good is it cause it has those little ***** in them the tend to break up and seal little cracks in the radiatior.
