is this ground?

I had my car on a lift looking for where my exhaust keeps banging and I noticed a black, flat wire of about 4 or 5 inches from right after the precat. it's just haning from my exhaust. is this ground? If so, where does it go? I would've taken a pic, but didn't have my camera. next time it's on the lift, I'll bring my camera with me.

thanks

I believe it is a grounding strap.

The first reply said it my be the oxygen sensor strap, but that's not it because the sensor is connected. if it is the gound where should it be connected?

thanks

I've learned my lesson to always have my camera when I'm going to work on my car.

The 02 sensors are grounded to the exhaust, which is grounded to the frame through the grounding strap. so... yeah... that could be what it is
