"Sensor located in front manifold/exhaust pipebefore catalyst - two required"

That's suspect, since there is a difference between the two, you should just call them, or take out your sensor and give them the bosch part# on it. IMHO I'd get a Bosch or an overpriced bosch one with the nissan logo stamped in it.

I bought the denso from there and it works fine. The two upstream sensors are identical and there is only one downstream(the one on the cat converter)

yes taht would be the rare oxygen sensor.....depending on if it is calispec or not, if it is fed spec.....then it is the one of the cat.....if it is cali spec....then it is the rear sensor, on cylinder 1 side

What was the exact code you got? i.e. so we can double check what O2 sensor you need to replace.

yes if the code is for either one of the two upstream sensors. Fed spec Maximas have 3 02 sensors, (2 upstream and 1 downstream)

sook - you are sure your car is fed spec right?

Here is a pic of the O2 sensor locations in a Fed-spec Maxima:

Is the CEL still lit? if yes, pull the codes and report back.

SEL = CEL (just different terminology for different years).

Go to autozone - they'll pull the code for you.

i thought there was a difference between the "service engine soon" and the "check engine light." like the ses means fix it when you get the chance, the cel means fix this asap, and blinking cel means pull over and tow this b!tch

but i dont know where i got that idea

and mine is urgent because i need to order it, get it put in, pass emissions, and renew my registration before the 31st
