Might buy a 1995 Maxima: UPDATE
Instead of starting a new thread I'll just re edit this one since it concerns ANOTHER 95 Maxima I found earlier today...
This one is a 95, auto tranny, white with 15% tint. It has 202k miles on the clock but seems that it was well taken care of. The tranny fluid is red, engine oil is a little dark so most likely its due for another one, various parts have been replaced with receipts for the parts.
I drove it and it runs really well, tranny shifts smooth.... sunroof does not work, CD player had a bad contact so it works half the time... and a couple minor thigns like that.
It looks pretty good with black leather and all......... the guy is asking $1300 which is fair considering that the car runs good and all. I'm gonna have my mechanic look at it on Monday and hopefully I'll be able to purchase it.
I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks for the advice.

AT 170k the auto tranny (if it's the original) might be on it's way out... other than that... anything is possible at that mileage, i.e. starters, alternators, radiators, etc. The only "common" failures are starters.
Check the A/C (might be too cool to really tell if it works)...

I say go for it, That's Cheap. If the parts arent nothing to you, Then i'd personally say get it.. If the tranny does go out, just do a 5spd conversion if you'd like.. Thats probably a extra 1000, and there you.. With all the stuff you paid for the car, should come out to spending around 4000, 5000? So i'll say its a good deal

Went to check the car out and it was in bad shape..... I'm pretty sure the frame was damaged because the rear fenders, above the rear wheel wells, were like flared out to the sides... and the rear bumper was under an angle.
The dude overfilled the engine oil to the point where the entire dipstick was covered in it.... and I mean the ENTIRE dipstick.
The tranny was so low on fluid that there was no reading what so ever on the dipstick...
O well, I guess I'll keep looking.
Thanks for the advice.

Keep on looking! I have a 95SE and have had virtually no problems with it and I've owned it since day 1. However, its a low miler.
I would not buy a used car without the maintenance history. If the owner can't provide it, then one has to question how well the car was looked after.
