is there anything i could do, besides a 5spd swap to stop my dam* auto so it would stop lagging so bad in 3rd?

the y-pipe will help you in 3rd gear a lot. But honestly, besides that there ins't much you can do besides convert to a 5speed. 3rd gear is a dog between 75-90 or so. Once at 90 it really pulls quite nice i think. I just have intake and y-pipe

ok...is the lagging around 3K RPMS? I feel something weird around that time, then i turn then i press overdrive and it goes to 4th and kicks it up a few more rpms...i dunno its weird.

yeah mines does the same.. i would take my OD off and as soon as i sift into 3 the car just seems like lagg alot, and then as soon as i turn the OD on, it seems just as though the RPM shoots up a little, and then it moves once i get pass like 80 or so... i already have the Y-pipe, and full greedy catback, with intake.

I read that a grounding kit will help with the shifting.
Check www.mattblehm.com. He's got a kit and some information. Hope that helps. I can't comment on it though, because I don't have one. (auto or grounding kit)

When you are clicking OD-On again while in 3rd, the torque converter unlocks and that is why you see that big difference.

Our 4runner does that too. A tranny flush might help
