Tony from tire rack called me this morning and cancelled my order for the AGX's. KYB said they won't be shipping until August now. I knew it was too good to be true anyway, so I didn't have my hopes up.

Yup, Conner at Tire Rack called me one half our ago to cancel my order too. They aren't shipping until August. Now I have to either think of something else to do, or wait....

MAN....

does this mean I have to wait to lower my car? Man thats a long wait. Should I just buy some Koni's? BTW do they send you inserts or do they send you a full strut with the insert already in them?

Seems kinda

like a lengthy process. Maybe again i am too lazy. Should I wait for the AGX's and just buy some taller tires?

I think with Koni, you will have to spend an extra hour prepping the strut housings. You will also need a large pipe cutter (~$25) and a set of drill bits/drills. Takes time but anyone can do it.

As for KYB AGX, something is just not right about Tirerack cancelling orders. I put in an order for a set of KYB GR2 shocks/struts and after initially telling me I had to wait a month, when time came, they said they were expecting them 8-01. They didn't cancel my order though. I called them back to say I couldn't wait that long and that I wanted to cancel. To me, if Tirerack is cancelling orders for AGX themselves, it would appear that even they aren't certain about an Aug delivery. Just guessing...

that's what the guy I spoke with at the groupbuycenter told me. he called kyb for me and said that kyb doesn't even have them and that they're slated for a fall 2001 release. that's why he asked me to let him know when someone actually got them.

he said he didn't know how tire rack could be getting them and that it would be at the very least should be 30 days out...
