Great choice! I have a 96 pearl white Max. Just so you know, that paint is expensive. It cost me like $250 to have just a new bumper painted, because of the 3 coats. And you can't buy touch-up paint (that I know of) because one coat of anything wouldn't look good. I love the color, though. It's worth it. enjoy.

The Maxima is smooth and quiet. It's easy to go faster than you intended. Be careful!

dude the pearl white is awsome... someone hit my car before i got it and TRIED to touch it up ... needless to say it didnt work .... in my opinion its one of the best colors.... im getting mine repainted black with 2 pearl white stripes but not quite yet... my only concern would be getting a supercharger for it cause stillen says the one they offer is for off road use only... but im sure someone else provided a compatable version.

I hear the pearl looks yellow in the daylight. Is that true?

Compared to pure white, it has kind of a yellowish tint. But certainly not obvious or bad-looking. My favorite is in dusk...it looks silver. The pearl coating is the middle layer (base white, then several layers of pearl, then clear coat), and the pearl paint actually has crushed glass in it to give it the reflective and dimensional look. At least that's what the guy at the body shop told me.

nice choice

I think the pearl paint looks exquisite. It really dazzles in the sun and never seems to look dirty.

Get some Meguiars #7 show car glaze followed by some #26 yellow wax to take care of the clear coat. You might even skip the glaze since this is really meant to enhance the gloss of darker cars.

I thought the Stillen units was smog legal and CARB certified with e.o. numbers for states with smog/emissions checks? That's the only reason why I was thinking about it! It'd be a pain to take it out every two years for smog checks!

My friend has a pearl white S-10 with couple coats of pearl. It has a bad yellowish tint to it. I think the person who painted maybe messed it up. My other friend has a 00 sentra that's painted white the blue pearl and it looks awesome.

Well, I picked it Friday afternoon, the dealership detailed and everthing and it looks even better than before. My first mod will be installing an aftermarket head unit. Anyone know where I can find a write-up for changing out the Bose system to a aftermarket. Think I gonna go with the Pioneer DEH-P8200 or 9200..

P.S.

On the way home, I thought I was going about 60-65, I looked down at the speedo and was doing 85...I love this car!!!!

told you, now you better watch it on the highway when you think your going 85 and you look down and your doing an easy 100+, did that on the way to work, thought I was going about 85 looked down and I was running 110mph, I love this car too. Best part is that I was running the **** out of it the other day trying to get this Porsche I saw to race me and he wouldn't, but I still ran it up to about 125 mph and the car was crusing at that speed
