How do I clean my foam cone filter?

I have a V2 Filter from Weapon*R that is Foam. I have tried Auto Zone, Checker, Pep Boys, and a bunch of other places and nobody has a foam filter cleaner. Weaopon*R doesnt have a dealership near me so I cant get it from them. And my credit card was stolen and im going through a big deal with the bank and cant order of the internet right now. Does anyone know how to clean these kind of filters? Please help Thanks

thats why i went with K&N , not to mention that foam eventually breaks apart , and will go into the engine...

foam is not good stuff. dont you just buy a new foam element anyways?

I don't think you can clean foam. At least with filters like the HKS, you have to buy a new filter element.

Weapon*R filters have a cleaning kit and have never told me to replace them. I just dont have a Weapon*R dealer nearby. Thanks for the help

Weapon R products aren't the greatest.. I'd never put their stuff on my car.

Foam filters are not cleaned - you replace it.

Let me see. Based on your situation, this is what I would do:

1) Call your bank, get a new credit card, have them rush it overnight to you. If your bank is like my bank, they want you to spend spend spend, so you'll get your card on short order.

2) Order a new foam element from a Weapon R dealer. Foam cannot be cleaned, you throw the old one away and put a new "cap" on.


The whole process cannot take more than two weeks, and I don't think your car will break down in that time. Worse comes to worse, put back on the stock airbox temporarily.
