dyno results
i just got the old car dyno'd. i have a 97 SE auto with a place racing CAI. i got MAX power 156.4 hp and MAX torque 172.9 lbs i am running 235/40/zr18 rims so i think i lost a few hp because of those.
i have a dip in the torque from like 3700 rpms to about 4600 and then continues to go down. i am wondering if anyone else has this dip in the torque??
anyway , i am happy , next is y-pipe and exhaust.. hope i will have 200 fwhp and like 220 lbs torque by january.
but right now i got a
on my face.

Those are good numbers. You are loosing about -45fwhp and tq due to those large wheels and even more on the street due to drag resistance (not a factor on the dyno). Guido SST (Dave Lee) dynoed his bonestock 95 GLE last weekend and put down 155 fwhp and 175fwtq.
I hate to be barer of bad news but there's no way you'll put down 200 fwhp and 220fwtq with NA boltons. I've got a y-pipe, revised stock airbox, B-pipe, and RT cat and I make 175fwhp and 194 fwtq. The hp is right on compared to others and the tq is actually a bit higher than most PLUS I've got a 5 speed. I'd say with a y-pipe, intake, catback, UDP, VB upgrade, lighter wheels, and even an ECU, you'd be lucky to push 175fwhp and 190 fwtq. Just telling you the truth.

Dave. How about getting either your stock flywheel lightened or boning up for the $$ aluminum one??
I would say ecu but I'm not stepping into that one!!

200 fwhp
i did not know how much i would gain with the y-pipe and exhaust... but thanks
dave for telling me. still will need another dyno run though.
i am still looking and HOPING for the 200 hp. don't know how to get there , details just details and they are unimportant and can can be worked out on paper and with some kinda big box..lol
but thanks though
going to get with some maxima guys off the board( nismo2020 and others , although they dont know it yet.. ) and hopefully with a preformance shop and do this.. but i don't have $3000+ for supercharger , correct me if i am wrong , about 220 or so fwhp. but thought is nice.
anyway , thanks for the props
