I feel retarded

I've looked through my owner's manual cover to cover 4 times and searched through my haynes manual and still haven't found how to friggin aim the headlights down. I know you have to use the adjustment screws but when I was cranking away on them the beam didn't move at all. Which screw do you turn to lower the headlights? I've been pissing a lot of people off ever since I switched to 9007. Thanks for any help.

The one closer to the radiator makes the headlight move up and down and the one closes to your side marker is the one that makes the beam move in or out. When adjusting place slight pressure on the head light w/ your hand you can tell if it moves either up or down.

You are what you feel.

Last time I aimed mine I parked the car facing my garage doors and tweaked the adjusters with a 1/4" drive socket, I believe 8mm. Be careful, the adjusters broke off (they're plastic) and I had to finish by turning the shaft with a vice-grips.

I think you have a wire switched on one of your headlights. That means one headlights has it's high beam always on. Point both lights at a wall and you will see one is higher. Fool around with the wires until both are the same height.

Same thing happend to me. People got mad at me and it turned out that one of my high beams was on. Since I switched the wire, no more problems. Even though the dashboard doesn't say there is a high beam on, there is.

That's a good suggestion - maybe you just messed the wiring portion of the conversion. Check it out.

It is the outboard screw that adjusts up and down. The screw closer to the radiator changes the beam from left to right or vice versa.

I can see both beams go higher when I hit the highs, so I know its not wiring related, just gotta crank it down, but thanks for the suggestions.

Dude, it's an 8mm wrench, that's all. It takes a few turns to get anything noticeable, but it'll do it eventually. When're you off work again? We can try it out.

I'm not working on monday, nothing to do all day. I gave it quite a few turns and nothing happened at all. Ohwell, I'm probably just doing something wrong somehow, but anyways, you should swing by on monday.

It is the outboard screw closest to the sidemarker light that moves the beam up & down. I like going to a flat parking lot on a foggy night. That way you can see the beam of light.
