Anyone know how to adjust rear Konis?
Anyone know how to adjust rear Konis?
We took them out, changed to Progress springs (which are awesome btw, ride well and look much better) and couldn't for the life of me (us) figure out how to adjust them. They had no adjustment ****, pulled the boot off, etc... the only thing that looked like it could even move was at the top of the strut (the part where the rod "meets" the strut), but it also appeared that it was also the only way to disassemble the strut, and if you could "turn" it anyway, it would need a very peculiar tool.
Anyone have any advice on this matter? We tried turning the rod as well, but using the rod as an adjuster wouldn't make sense (and it didn't stop turning and didn't really resist). The only other thing I can think of would be maybe compressing it, and then turning something?
Well anyway, thanks for any help/suggestions. I didn't have a digicam at the time of the suspension install, so I didn't get any pics of the strut, sorry.

They need to be removed from the car in order to adjust them. Here's a How-To:

I know you've got to remove them to change 'em... removing them is no big whoop. In fact we removed them, changed the springs and reinstalled them in under an hour tonight.
Thanks though.
