i've got Continental Extreme Contacts on my max and i must say that they provide excellent traction in dry, wet, and snowy conditions. i have friends running them on their 'stang and wrx and they both agree: great tires!

The Pirelli only has a 220 treadwear rating. OUCH! Given the choice of the 2, I woul go with the Continental. (400 treadwear rating)

Read the feedback for each tire on Tireracks web site.
Them make a decision based on that information. Much more info up there then on this board.

I would suggest getting 225/50/16's if your on stock rims, this will yield the least amount of difference on the speedometer/odometer etc. And on the continentals.

Very good price. Why did you opt for the stock size over the wider tires?
