i dont^^ know, people like to take just the cd player faces sometimes, so a 7in tv would be nice for them. maybe the piece that needs to 'grab' is going to be either on the sides or the very top part where it breaks off in to the climate controls, you know, make it fit snugg into one of those slits....if theres a will, theres a way

sober, that's gross!
lol! you could try something like those magnets that have adhesive backing. somehow, make a border around the lcd with magnets and then, of course, the same pattern on the 'fakie'. i think it would look better than velcro! haha!...or, get another complete dash piece (that surrounds the bose and storage drawer. then, with it being big enough, you could just somehow stick the edges in where the stock one is. maybe you could cut it so it doesn't cover the hu and then you could slide it up just a enough to fit in the crack.
i dunno. hard to explain, but just go to a junkyard and get the surround and mess with it a little bit. i think this would be the cleanest-looking option cuz it wouldn't leave anything undesireable when it's off and you have your beautiful lcd!
good luck! you'll probably figure something out.
Hey Max N Action check this thread out, I think it's just what your looking for

werd, what a genius! haha, jk! hard to say how it would look. but if you get the right materials and give it time, should be good.
EDIT: afterthought: i dunno how kindly lcd's will take to nearby magnets. maybe if you made it big enought and all the way to the edge of the plastic surround piece. not sure. just something to think about.
once you get your hands on a face. you could fashion two L clips on the topside, epoxy one side of the L clip onto the face and have the other side kind of insert in between the bezel of the tv and the climate control. thats all i could think of [ tiny gangsta illustration below ]
