I have a 95 se5 spd and my friend has a VW GOlf gti with the 1.8T car-stats.com claims my car runs a 15.2 and that his runs a 15.3 and i know that i am a better driver and he just bought his car. he pulls on me damnit and we (max Owners) cant have that. were both max fans he has a 92 VE that we built and boosted (still working on it) and I have a 91' 5 spd a 92 VE auto (fast little beast) and my 95. Check This out I let my car car cool off and started it and before it warmed up I raced him off the line and took him pretty good. but when i warm up its all over all i have is a short ram intake. anybody else have this problem does everyone here think their stock motor could pull a 15.2. I am not pulling any codes even in check mode but do you think it is 02 sensor related or warm intake air( which i do not think) or something else. someone start rambling I dont care if i get flamed this needs to be dicussed . I think!

Wrong section.

I ran 15.003@91.78 stock. I was ever so slightly pissed.

A few guys (quite a bit actually) have gone 14's stock. Nealoc187 even went 14.51@94 bone stock but times like that are not the norm. A time like mine is probably what you should expect for an average driver, but 14's are possible.

does he have a stock 1.8t? if so you cant drive because when i had a stock maxima and my friend just bought a used (but stock) 1.8t i wooped on him all day. then he got a chip and smoked me.

i ran a 15.01 w/ just an intake (which doesnt do much anyway) so anywhere between 14.8 and 15.2 depending on track are decent times. there are a few exceptions who have run 14.5/14.6 but i would bet the track had something to do w/ that.

All stock A32's are 16 second monsters here, no matter how good of a driver you are.

Get a Budget y-pipe and don't tell him. Get rid of the intake and couple the y-pipe with a K&N panel filter.

How old are your spark plugs? When was the last time you cleaned your fuel system?
