I had this code for almost a month, after I replaced EGR solenoid valve my problem was resolved...others on this forum cleaned Egr passages and that did the trick, try replacing Egr solenoid valve first (easier to do)..part only costs about $60..also this link will help:

Speaking of the EGR sensor...
This really doesn't pertain specifically to the 0302 code, but I can't post a new question (even though I'm registered and logged in) nor am I authorized to search to see if this question has already been answered. So...
Does anyone know the reset sequence for the EGR sensor (and O2 sensor) for a '96 Maxima? After 316,000 miles I finally had to have my transmission rebuilt because it was sending nasty messages to the ODBD II computer. That was over 1,600 miles ago and now some of the sensors are still reading "not ready", causing it to fail the Texas inspection.
Last year I had a similar problem after changing a faulty O2 sensor. I paid Nissan $80 to run it through the necessary drive pattern to reset the sensors. This year when I asked them to do it, they looked at me like I was crazy. "You just have to drive it a little while," they told me. I would think that 1,600 miles is more than "a little while"!
Thanks. Sorry about crashing the thread, but I need help bad!

Drive Pattern
I am dealing with the same thing, had an emissions error, replaced the part, but not ready on re-inspection. I found these driving patterns online, use the one specific to your car.
