bye bye max :(

today was a very bad day for me. i was on the freeway going to get the oil changed and to get the car checked-out. so as i was cruisein listenin to the radio a black 18-wheeler swipped me with the trailer part and my car spun into the median bounced off and spun into the median again. so basically the car is proly totaled. the in houston we have this stupid "safety clear" crap where a tow truck will tow your car away after ten minutes. so as i was comin back with my brother in his car to go get my car off the shoulder a tow truck was towing my car away. the stupid impound lot is closed on the weekend so i dont where my car is. so my dad is gonna take me to the police station tommorow to file a report so i can find out where it is. the stupid 18- wheeler never stopped so i couldnt get the liscense plate number. is pent the whole day in the emergency room but im just glad that im alive. so who knows this might be the start of somethin new maybe even a 5spd i'll have pics up once i find out where the heck my car is. so hopefully im not gonna be off the org. for good, but peace out for now

Sorry about the lost. The important thing is that you are alright. Cars can be replaced.

Man that's terrible. My friend had something like that happen to him a few weeks ago. He was merging into the second lane when a tow-truck pulled out of the emergency lane, towing a garbage truck that had broken down. It floored it apparently and attempted to beat him and merge, but he ended up nailing his passenger side of the car with the garbage truck. The only good thing he got out of it was a good blue-book value from his insurance company.

Anyways, good luck to you. Not much worse than losing something you put a lot of time and effort into..

my family moved to houston, i went to visit for the chinese new year. but i came back to lousiana on saturday. god i hope to be there to witness that f-ing 18-wheeler, so i can help you sue them for hit and run.

sorry about your max, buddy. maybe we should stay in contact so when i go to houston again, i can meet up with some of the local max guys there. my family's house is in deerpark right next to pasadena, i go to bellaire's asian area alot to get food.

dude, that's too bad. what does you insurance company say about this one? are you able to remember the truck's company? you should try to track this guy down as soon as you can. you'll need to sue those fukcers.

thnaks for all the support my step dadwent to the lot with our mechanic friend. i wasnt able to go look at it cuz im not supposd to be doin any strenuous activities-i.e. walking through impound lots. but the mechanic says it would cost 6000 with cheap parts to get to just run ok. so my step dad is gonna let em keep it plus they were gonna charge almost 300$ cash to get it off the lot. so i didnt get to take pics but just imagine hitting a cmb(concrete lane divider) twice doin about 55-60 mph . my stepdad is still sorting things out with the insurance company.
who knows maybe there is something new in my **future** peace out org.

man, sorry to hear again about your health. you'll need to keep a good routine of exercises and therapies to get your body back up. 3 years ago, i had an accident and flipped my car sideways (2 flips). yeah, i was doing 110mph in the rain, hit a big pot hole, headed straight down the ditch and hit the concret bridgeway. after that, insurance only covered my recovery for 3 months. 3 months i thought was enough, but it turns out after that, my back was really messed up. slipped 2 spinal discs and slowly trying to recover it now. dude, you'd have to be careful. whenever you can exercise again, you need to do a heck lot of it. or else, you may end up like me. as of now, my back is still messed up. i love to get under the hood and work on the car, but after standing there and bent for 2 hours, i'd have to rest for almost a week just to recover the back pain.

hope you do ok.

heck yea excecise it helped me alot when i wrecked on my buddies waverunner doin 68+ mph. word of advice watch out for logs in the bay. lol hit the log flew forward hit the water ski hit me in the back ran me over and left me paralyzed for 10 minutes.....scariest 10 min of my life.....when i moved my right toe (while in the water literally hanging from the lifevest) i was relieved as heck....but excercise is the key im fine today except for a few pains here and there....nothing major....take care

So how did it happen? Were you in the left lane between the truck and the median? Were you passing the truck?
