Vandalised Max to total loss, need help

Few days ago, I woke up to my Max being vandalised. The vandals actually totalled my car. I had a Skyline R33 kit, fenders, sarona hood, motegi rims, custom paint, smoked headlights and bumper lights, tyc taillights, and many more. The local news actually called me and asked me to do a report because it was so bad. You can see my pain at www.fox30online.com and search their database for "man accuses ex of totalling car" and you might cry. Anyways, the whole point of saying this is that my brother has a 98 Infiniti I30 which for some reason he hates (just weird), but I know are engines are exactly the same. The question is the body. Can I fit a Maxima skyine r33 body kit on the I30? anyone know? i wanted to just put my maxima fenders on the I30 (if they fit) and put my maxima Sarona hood and put maxima headlight in. how difficult is this going to be? and if i put a maxima trunk in place of the I30 trunk will it fit? anyone have any idea?

hey man, i can't answer your question with enough confidence as you would like, but bummer to hear about your story. i wasn't able to find it on the news site but that sucks nonetheless. i hope you are able to get most of it covered by insurance! good luck!

sorry to hear that, but I think you have to change some things on the I30 to make things fit. I can't see the news of your car on that link that you gave. post picks or what not. sorry again

I just watched the video...for those who didn't find it..
Go to http://www.cbs47.com/mediacenter/ and search "Man Accuses ex" and you'll find it.

Man that's terrible! Sounds like you really loved that car! All that money you put into it. Is your insurance covering some of the mods? I'm very sorry to hear this.

no the body kit won't fit, us i30 owners have tried. fenders yes, as long as you change the fenders, grill, headlights n hood n re-locate the hood latch. as for the trunk, no clue. you should just take the insurance money n start from scratch, unless you still ahve those parts...

The kit might fit on the I30, with some modifiucation to it, no hurt in trying now. I hope you find this guy, and give him what he deserves. Your first instinct is usually right when it comes to stuff like this, very rarely random.

When I was 15 I had a motorcycle stole and thrown off a bridge into a river. I eventually got the bike back and rebuilt it. I knew who stole it as I had witnesses that said they seen him on it, but were afraid to testify. A few years later he was shot point blank it the chest with a 12 gauge shotgun. Sometimes it is easier to just figure that what goes around, comes around.

sucks about your car...

i was curious and took a look at an i30 briefly today. got a comparision of the trunks/rearend of the car. they look REALLY close, like it could be made to fit. but it's hard to tell.

i can't upload them from my phone til i get home though, not sure when that will be.

if you were closer i'd be willing to help see/make it work, but well, you're not.
