Coilover sleeves and springs.

I see some on ebay. Are these worth it performance wise? Also can I put different springs in there?

usually the coil over springsare much muchsmaller than the stock size fronts......so you could probely put other coilover springs in there but why would you cause it would be the same price as just buying another set out coilover springs.....i do nto kwn about the performance cause no one really that i hav ever heard of has tried these, but the struts will blow real quick unless you put them high up, and they do cause a very harsh ride i bet like the ground cntrols i had did. remeber you get what you pay for!

ebay stuff is crap. the R&D is not there. the only sleeve C/O worth anything is Ground control with eibach ers springs. you can buy the springs in a variety of lengths and rates. each spring is about $60-70 so its not cheap. they arent worth pairing with anything but shortened konis. You will have a better setup with koni/GC than any of the "full coilovers" avail. for the max. if you go to sr20forum and look, you will see that the suspension of choice is Koni/GC (rates 300/250 or better) or Hyperco/agx (1" drop 300/250 rates). they have tried everything and we should learn from their experiances. Mild drop + high rates + good adjustable = perfect combination.

are you saying that Koni's + GC's are better than JIC's? or any other genuine coilover setup for that matter?

i'd believe it if it was from experience. and i guess it needs to be defined. 'better' as better performing, or better ride for the performance it gives?

ok well the average joe is better off with ksports or something since they need no effort to work. but they still have thier problems. konis are the best out there and i dont think any of the tiwanese garbage thats out there holds a candle to koni or eibach. time will tell, but you get what you pay for.

That suspension is for a B13 (91-94 sentra). its around 2k. again no one on this forum has the need for something like this, let alone the money to back up such a set up. but the b13 guys have been autox and RR for years. they wouldnt put together something crappy.

However the same ideas can be used on out cars. we dont need most of that stuff shown. but the struts are the important thing.

konis have a much wider range of adjustability. they are so much better than either illumina or axg. konis has shock dynos posted somewhere on their site. i originally found them on a civic forum, from customers getting testing done. they tested a bunch of shocks. both agx and illuminas have a very narrow adjustment. they work fine, but lack alot of abillity.

i have been working on a really nice suspension, researching like crazy. you will just have to wait and see.

I just want to point out that I went out on a limb buying CMS springs from a local company that was advertising through ebay and still does. The Toronto Maxima club (http://www.torontomaxima.com) first brought it to my attention and I was the first to try them out. I met Ray Webber who is the owner/manufacturer and in talking with him I found out that these were also sold under the brand name Springtech. I have had these on since August 2004 and they're still doing well.
