Flange is startng to rust away from the b pipe.

Flanges are part of the b-pipe.. thats where mine started leaking first - muffler stop tried to take the pipe off to see what they could rig but it was a lost cause... time for a new b-pipe.

which flange. the muffler side of cat side? the muffler flange goes bad often but its an esay and cheap fix. just get some 2 1/8" exhust pipe and 2 clamps and replace the 2 flanges entirely. if you try and weld it, chances are it will not hold.
i have done both my 98 and my dads 96 this way. they have held fine.

That is the side. How did you get the flange off?
