1. Where is the coolant leaking?
2. The misfire could be a bad injector, plug or coil in Cylinder #2.

Its probably leaking from a hose - try to narrow it down first

Your friend is lucky that its cylinder #2 b/c if the injector is bad then he can easily replace it (check the spark plug first and then the coil pack - easy way would be to swap one of your coil packs with his since you're not having this prob)

ok i don't want to jack this thread and i know this is an extremely old thread, but i tried to search the org to see if i can find a solution similar to the problem i waz having with my max. It seems as though Tim's friend had the same problem as what i'm currently having, the only thing is that i don't have a check engine light on. I had coolant leak, dripping a little at a time, i'm not exactly sure on how much itz leaking. My idle is much lower than what it used to be, prob. a little less than 1K, and there is significant power loss. But the power loss is only when the car is stopped and not moving, when i go up my driveway and let go of the gas (assuming all driveways are a little slanted up), my car starts to roll backwards (my car is an auto by the way). So has anyone figured out any solutions to this problem yet? I sure don't know what it is, i even took it to a mechanic and he was unsure of the problem too, all he did was adjust the idle screw a little, but the problem persisted a couple days after that. So any advice guys?
