Licence plate

Hey guys, where did you guys place your licence plates? I hate it when it is in the center of the bumper like a bucktooth also with the black licence plate holder. (kills the car's looks) I'm planning on repostioning my foglights to where the the stock one goes and putting mesh in front of it from all those rock flying into it and cracking my fogs. Pictures will help a lot. Also my sister has gotten tickets for not having a front licence plate on so I Have to have one on. Stupid Chicago Law.

I have mine in my front windshield. No cop has said anything to me. I just put some rubber feet on the corners so it doesn't scratch anything.

Technically, you can be cited for having anything impeding your view, even in the lower corners of the windshield (even stickers for parking permits, etc are ilegal. Also anything hanging from your rear-view mirror). Only reason I know is because I had to go to traffic school...

Anyways, I just keep my dead center. Classic

I hate these Licence plate thing and have to have one in the front, What is the purpose for these? Are the cops looking in the rear view mirror and checking if everyone has a front licence plate on?

VIP Maxima and FLAVOR_24/7 I love how both of your maximas are looking nice. Keep up the good work.

I have an older MA plate which means i only need a back plate. The newer ones require drivers to have one up front. Got lucky I guess...

Yeah IL has that stupid law or something that you have to have both front and back plates on. I know this because my sister has been pulled over and ticketed twice in the city. Maybe I should just paint the plate number and design onto my hood, which needs to be painted because of the rock chips and all.

after doing a little research, it appears that it will cost your 25-60 bucks for a no front plate ticket. if you can afford to CHANCE it, throw it in your windshield. you may get pulled over week 1, you may not get pulled over for 6 years... if you have to drill into your bumper, maybe its worth the chancing it.

darrick, I like how you did that, first it looked like a european licence plate until I looked at where you were from. Nice idea, but I wonder what else options I have. Thanks for all the posts

darrick, how much did you have to bend your plate to do that? That wouldn't be considered some form of "defacation"?

I don't know about other states but your not suppose to cover up anything from your license plate. I had a license plate frame that cover the wordings on the bottom of the plate that said "Garden State"... cop pulled me over and told me to remove my frame.

This is a bad idea moving the plate, just giving cops a reason to mess with you. So think about it before you move or bend it, might be more trouble than you want.

I like everyone's post in here, Thanks. Yeah for the bending part. Mine accidentily got bent after I hit the snow/ice mound at the end of my drive way at 3am coming home half sleeping. I noticed the next day that my plate was out of shape.
