Air temp sensor different on some 97's

I talked to nissan and they said that some 97's have 98 changes to emissions. The origional 97's should have 2 screws holding it in. So when you order anytype of cai, make sure that you check what type of air temp sensor you have..

This is a 98 type.

I ended up plugging the hole and leaving the sensor to hang in the engine bay. So far car runs fine. Does this sensor have anything to do with a/f mixture?

It's not really a big deal, anyone can find a way to make it work with or without the two screw setup.
