I'm sorry but people like you don't deserve a car like a Maxima. Just go for a FORD or something besides nissan and I BET you, if you do the same thing to that car, It will blow quicker then the max. Just go carless and I think everyone on the .org will be happier cause no one on here drives it like that.

u do realize that the kid isn't even posting anymore right, probably got scared off, not everyone grew up with the privilage of havin people that knew cars around him (dr.max for example is very fortunate) I didn't have that kind of knowledge in me when I was 16, I'm just starting to learn now, he probably feels like **** after all the , he was only looking for some advice.

hate to say it, but a lot of posts here are just down right cruel... he'll probably never be back in this forum again...

Wow, a lot of hostility on this forum. I guess i should explain some things, the topic was an eye catcher, im not saying the maxima is a joke, if it was why would i have bought one to begin with. Second, i didnt drive it at 7k for 2 minutes straight, i drove it on and off in a 2 minute period, it generated some smoke, but it was probably steam cause all the coolant ran out quickly during this time. A lot of people got offended by what i wrote, its just a car fellas, and its my car, get over yourselves. I've said many good things about this forum to people i know and how this is an amazing resource for information, but the replys in this thread has been the worst i've ever read on this forum and far from resourceful. All the replies that attacked me personally and claimed i was as old as my car sounded like they were written by a child himself, i would expect an adult to react rationally and respectfully.

Now for all the people who said i neglected my car, that is far from true. The car has recieved daily oil changes, and a transmission flush every year. Ive had the tranmission flushed 8 months ago, a tune up done 3 months ago (i even got iridium spark plugs), and a fuel system cleaning a month ago becomes the mechanic thought the rough idle had something to do with it. Basically all maintenance has been done, i even checked up with the haynes manual (which i own).

Now to explain the suspension.
Struct Mount (2) - $112
Gold Touring Struct (1) - $177 + $126 labor
Axle $135 + $65 labor
Lower Arm $438.60 + $158 labor
Sway bar kit - $69 + $40 labor
alignment - $70
sway bar - $197 + $119 labor

i got a $200 discount on labor on top of that.

I hope that answers all questions. And before someone claims my parents paid for everything, i paid for it all myself, they dont even have cars for crying out loud.

We should really have the mangement of this thread create a "VENT" forum, cause it seems like a lot of people posting these stupid threads just want to vent out their frustration when things go wrong....

That was punishment enough, you got ruined on that.

That is almost 2 grand that you are never going to see again. The more you read and learn on this site the better it will get though.

You made it seem like you beat on your car big time in the first post.

Daily oil changes as in every 3000 miles, i travel a lot.
I think it was just for 1, at least thats what the reciept reads. I'm not familiar with the pricing for it to begin with so i'm not sure if it was a rip off or not. As for geniune, i dont know how to tell, the guy did say it was new and the shop was is respectable so i trusted what they said.

What sway bar kit are you talking about? and you bought a sway bar for $197? That is way expensive on the install of that. The only fair price seems to be the axle.

dude, from what you've described, your tranny isn't shot. It's the clutch and flywheel, one or both which is/are toasted. check again before you do a tranny job. I remember when I burnt my clutch, it wouldn't grip anymore. When it does, it's only at very small rpms, and i couldn't gas it more.

yeah, hostility and flames, but you're the joke from whatever you did to your car.

Daily oil changes as in every 3000 miles? You actually drive 3000 miles a day??? that would mean you drive 24 hours straight at 125 MPH, how do you fit in the oil changes?

A couple of questions, what do you want for what is left of the car?
If you have known for 5 months that you have had transmission problems, why did you spend $1,800 on the front suspension?

Honestly aprentice, you need to proof read what you've written before you post it here. We don't have the same IQ you do (or lack of it rather). You are inconsistent with what you say from one post to another. It's hard to believe that what you are saying is actually what had happened based on the changes in your story.

I think people are flaming so bad because of the first post. Does seem like something only a clown would do to their car.

On a side note: The org does have plenty of Pyros.
