Strut Mounts Gone

The mechanic that just finished the bearing job on my Max told me that I need my strut mount replaced and he quoted $270. Does this sound like a fair price. He said the extra $70 was for realignment.

he should basically charge you the same amount of labor they would charge to change a strut...it basically the same amount of work. I may have a strut mount laying around at the house if you are considering using a used part. PM me if you are interested, and I will let you know for sure if I have one.

Take 15 minutes to change the mount, it's an easy job with the right tools.
Be smart, shop around. If your car is lowered you don't even need a spring compressor to take the strut apart to change the mount.
$70 for the alignment sounds about right.

are you lowered? only need alignment if you are lowered, stock springs take care of its self.
