Any difference between 95-96 and 97-99 stock exhausts?

I'm trying to go back to stock, and need to know if there is a difference.

^^ nice info

the 95/96 and 99 have a b pipe, with no O2 bung, that extends from the cat to the muffler. the 97/98 have a little pipe between the cat and b pipe. its called the s pipe, and it has an O2 bung in it. the legth btween the cat and the muffler is the same between all 4th gens. also the mufflers are the same, but since the 97-99 have a longer bumper, the outlet of the 97-99 muffler is a few inches longer. 99 cali y pipe and front manifold are a slightly different design, with a big front pre cat and more O2 sensors. also the 95/96 have the O2 sensor in the cat.

He didn't ask *what* the difference was, only if there was a difference.

Besides, I didn't know the details

The details are still irrelevant if you simply buy the parts designed for your model year.

This is true. Maybe he had one easier to obtain that was a different year and model. Still good info.

They will still fit though. 95-96 on a 97+ will be short, and the other way around will be long.
