Chariot breaks into 13's (all motor): Video

I finally got my 97 Maxima SE into the 13's this past weekend ! I had been running some 14.0's and then BAM ! 13.97@98 mph with a 2.14 60 foot !

It took me long enough, about two years. Im still running the VQ30DE with USIM, headers, catback, udp, ts ecu, and Toyo Proxes T1R.

I also forgot my camcorder and wouldnt you know the day I did was the day I would need it, lol ! I got in touch with some other guys who went and borrowed the tape and got my 13 second run.

Not much of a video, you can see my car but that is about all. I was racing a Honda Integra Type R with open headers, and boy was that thing loud ! Im proud of the maxima. The Max is one hail of a car, and im approaching 170,000 miles on this engine !

The Slip

60 ft:- 2.147
1/8th: 9.029@79.99 mph
1/4:--13.979@98.87 mph

Video Link: As usual cable and dsl recommended. Im not hosting it so you cant download, but if you click the link below the video will download in the windows media player on the site and will play properly once loaded. Dsl and cable users will have no worries !

I can't wait until I'm out of classes so that I can download this video. I replied in the 1/4 Mile forums, but again, incredible job! I love seeing these movies and hearing about everything. I'm sure New Zealand is hella nicer than Rochester NY right now...I can't wait for summer.

thanks everyone, that type r had been running 14.2 all day. then out of nowhere it yanks of the line (better reaction time) and is gone. Was a great race, but stunk to lose. (Max 13.97 - Type R 13.96).

This past weekend was like that, here is a 1800cc Honda Civic with some mods. I raced him Saturday (qualifying and practice).

Maxima 14.22 vs Civic 14.26

Then Sunday got beat by the same Civic when it counted.
Maxima 14.009 vs Civic 14.031

12's are a big stretch for a N/A 3L, 00VI or not.

Stick around this summer though, between myself and Ceasar everyone will see just how fast a light, properly tuned 4th gen with an 00VI can run - 13.97 will be considered a bad run.
