CEL is *BLINKING* randomly....

Changed an O2 sensor this morning, reset my ECU, and started driving, and my damn CEL is blinking at what seems like random intervals... although sometimes it will stay off if I keep my speed constant, and come on or start blinking again when I get on the gas. This happened for the entire duration of my 30-minute commute to work.

I know for sure that I'm supposed to be getting quite a few transmission codes since I still have my auto ECU from before my 5-speed swap, but my CEL always just stayed on.

Any ideas??

If i recall i believe that the blinking CEL while driving is misfiring, now i might be wrong but I had an issue with this a month back and I always figured it was misfire from coil pack problems, I cleaned the coils using one of the methods someone posted here and reset ecu and havent had a problem sense

you didn't reset your ECU right. it's showing you diagnostic codes.

you can tell if it's a multiple misfire, it's not like it's a subtle thing.

a blinking cel indicates a misfire, different codes for different cylinders so you will have to pull the codes again to pinpoint which cylinder has a misfire.

I really, really hope it wasn't misfires...

I got back in the car earlier, double-checked the screw on the ECU to make sure it was turned all the way to the left (it was), and drove... CEL was steady, as normal. Guess I'll pull the codes again just to make sure.

Thanks for all the responses, guys.
