ive tried and tried to make the needle on the speedometer look like the rest, nice even and bright, but i can't seem to get it. for all of you 98-99s who've done needle LEDs, our 97 speedo's have a little bit more going on back there:

its damn near impossible to point that thing.



anyone have and better success than this: ?


i know it looks okay, camera did a good job tho... its actually half decent at the top, but it really dims out towards the end, its worse than it sounds. it looks like crap..

anyone?

 

Yes I know what you mean. I have done this mod and ended up taking it out because of the speedo one. The closes I'd gotten was to aim the led at the clear plastic piece that reflects the light around to the needle. The piece I am talking about is your second to the last picture.

 

hrm, interesting. i did think of that, i thought i tried it and it didnt work too well, maybe i was trying the wrong piece, ill try that again, thanks.

i was thinking maybe a brighter LED too, just for that needle

that, or ill switch to a 98 99 speedo gauge..might as well
