Projector fogs

What are people's opinions on these? I can't afford stock fogs, but everybody's going crazy about how good projectors are, so i thought this might help light output. I know they will look good, but will the visibility actually be increased if i throw in some nicer h3 55w bulbs? Also, can i put in higher wattage bulbs without melting anythign?

First off, there is a mjor difference between HID projectors and Halogen projectors. i would suggest reading up on the differences.

Secondly, I retrofitted 2004 maxima Halogen fogs in my 97 fog housing. Not too big of a light output difference but the 04 fogs have cutoffs in them similar to HID projectors. This controls the overall beam pattern and level of the fogs. I have Luminics yellow H3 bulbs in them with yellow transperent 3M film on the outer glass of the housings...and I must say it almost looks the "lexus yellow". Overall I am very pleased...

But, to answer your question....DO NOT buy those ****ty fogs off ebay. Buy some H3 luminics bulbs or nokya bulbs and pop them in....you will see a moderate difference for a reasonable price.

My bad...Basically what I was saying is save your money, but some used stock fogs and brackets in the For Sale forum on here(I got mine for 100 shipped on here) and put some luminics or Nokya H3 bulbs and put them in your fogs. You will be much more happy with the look of stock fogs than crappy ebay fogs. And Yes, the would increase visibility by more than what those ebay fogs would...

yeah most fog lights uses H3 as standard bulb type.

one more thing the CE fogs has E-code stamped on it. I dont know if autozone or pepboys etc has 'E-coded' fog lights. E code lights are better in producing the light out put than ones from U.S.
