missing in how-to's

ok, am i just retarded or is there no how-to on clearing out the signal portion of the taillights on '95-96 taillights. i heard they're welded or something? any help would be great. how'd you do it DavidL?

It's not doable. They are not WELDED.. plastic can't be welded. They are molded that way and it takes alot of work to open them and to do the mod.

They can't just be cleared. The way people made them was by taking all clear taillights (I believe made by APC, though I may be wrong) and painting the bottom half red. I do know that all clears were discontinued, but can occasionally be found on ebay. Custom Enterprise sells red/clears, but they are overpriced and don't look that good IMO.

So your options pretty much are either Custom Enterprise or try to find a set of all clears or DavidL's on ebay or in the classifieds.

What? no, it's not doable. you can't clear out the stock 95-96 tails. end of story. the orange part is not a seperate piece like in the 97-99. the only way is to get all clears and pain in the red.

can anyone help me/walk me through taking my ugly *** pinstripe off my max?? it looks terrible...i just got her and it makes it look so bad! any help would be great thanks!

you guys are so kind! christ. well, thanks for the info. the sarcasm... not so much. well, that sucks ***. i wanted to do a LED taillight conversion and clear out the yellow because it looks so crappy. damnit.

But anyway, where did you find this information? To be honest, I couldn't find anything either. I wanted to do this myself on my '95, but only found 97-99 info. If you have some spare time, I'd really appreciate it if you could respond with some links. Thanks
