Bluetooth Handsfree Mute Circuit for Bose

I installed a Nokia CK-1W Bluetooth handsfree device in my I30. Without knowing the '98 and after HU has a direct mute input, I built the a Mute circuit shown in the link. It will work for '97 and earlier A32 with the Clarion/Bose HU and without Mute input.

1. The Bose Amp relay is located in the right side kick panel.
2. The 3 power and GND lines were tapped from the phone pre-wire near the shifter in the center console.
3. Mic was mounted on the overhead panel with leads hidden in the right side A pillar trim.
4. Speaker was mounted on the right side kick panel.
5. The control unit was mounted on the metal plate for the Amp relay.
6. The Mute relay is a 12V relay from RadioShack and the normally closed (NC) contacts were used.
7. Control button assembly was mounted near the shifter.
8. After the cut, a pair of male/female connectors were crimped to the Amp relay GND wire so it can be reconnected later.

Thats not a direct mute input, it's basic electronics 101.

All the installer did was interrupt the amp turn on signal, pretty simple stuff.

Never meant to wow anybody. Just to document what I did and make it easier for others.
