How to remove Audio sytem from dash

My apologies if this is in the How To section (I couldn't find it there), but can someone direct me to instructions for opening up the dash and removing a (Bose) audio system in my '97 Maxima SE? thank you

Thanks. Can anyone direct me to instructions that I would not have to pay for?

I am drawing from memory and can not be 100% positive I am giving you the complete details...

For a manual transmission (I bet automatic is similar):

Pry up the trim piece around the shifter. It just clips in place and you can pop it up with your hands. I think you may also have to remove the ash try. This will reveal some screws at the bottom of the trim piece around the stereo. Then, stick a flathead screwdriver into the slot below the clock and above the stereo and pry it (the panel with the clock) loose. It may feel like you're breaking something, but it also just clips into place. This will reveal screws at the top of the trim piece around the stereo. The rest should be fairly obvious, remove the newly exposed screws and remove the radio. You will most certainly lose some of the clips into the abyss of your dash, unless you are very careful.

I learned how to do it from their website, back when it was free. I (sarcastically) love how their Why Pay For Instructions link doesn't answer the question of why pay. "Competitors make you pay for our instructions," is their only rationale. Come on, the R&D is complete, It doesn't cost them anything to tell us what they already know. Greedy bastards.

The steps for tearing it down are the same as with a bose stereo.
