Bi-Xenons & DRL

Bi-Xenons & DRL
Anyone do a retrofit on a Max with Daylight running lights?
I have no probs dealing with low-beams cutting off
when the high-beams are flashed but I have no idea
what to do with the DRL module feeding low-voltage
to high-beams. Any ideas?
What would happen if the DRL unit is disabled?
Looking at FSM electrical diagrams that unit feeds a lot
wires.

requirements fo DRL
What are the requirements to pass as DRLs? is there a certain brightness (lumens, Cds or Watts) and is there a height requirement? It would be nice to make fogs DRL and get a insc reduction.
I am wondering if somehting like this would work

As someone mentioned Fogs as DRL are fine. Audi's and a number of other cars use that method.
I'm gonna pull the DRL fuse and see if that still leaves the high/low beam function work normally but without the low-voltage feed to high-beam line.
If that works I will figure out something else to replace DRL.
BTW, anybody do a retrofit with 2005 Maxima E55's Bi-Xenons?
I just got a pair and what insane color at just 8 feet. The projectors have
a top shield along with regular bottom shield arm (which cuts the light output a bit) but gives off this insane purple/blue color at cutoff.
Can't wait to put them into the Max.
