Hey, I filed down 2 1156 bulbs to replace the 1157's in the clearence corner lights. (The ones right next the the headlight)

I first tried to file down 2 1157 bulbs but decided it was too hot with both filaments being lit.

I wanted to know if I would have a problem with the filedowned 1156 bulbs. They aren't as hot, and only feel a little warm when in the housing. Does anyone know if the plastic will crack if I have them in and it starts to rain or gets wet....

Kyle Did you file down your double filaments? Do both filaments light up? And does the housing heat up....?
