sorry about the noobish question but im getting mixed feedback online. im sure a small maxima.org thread will resolve this. in the process of changing my headlights, i am hearing 95-96 clearance lights next to the headlight are different from 97-99 version. yet what people dont explain is the implied fitment or internal design. They appear to be the same general shape, which to me denotes interchangability between the two model year classifications, but i could be mistaken. anyone who has swapped 95-96 headlights for 97-99s please assist. thanks

 

I think the only difference is the wiring, for the 95-96 the clearance light lights up when the turning signal is engaged, but not the the 97-99.

 

ah yes i have come across this fact. personally i prefer the illumination to come on while engaging the turn signal. i take it ur saying the fitment is identical

 

Are there any differences in the appearance of the clearnance lights?

 

Just the lense has a different pattern.
