Red interior?

Wondering if anyones done red climate, bose (all that s**t) with white gauges and red needles. I like the look that the VW's have (w/out the purple). Wondering if anyone has pics and comments? Thanks

Caracicatriz any idea who has it or if I can get some pics? I'm still deciding between blue or red. I just thought red would look different.

Thanks a lot Caracicatriz, really helped. As the guy said on there...the pics were tought to judge. But I do think it would look nice. Gaugues will stay white with red needles and most of the dash will be red. Might do some white as well. Anybody know what type of stock bulbs there are in the dash and gauges?

The red will shine through the gauges though.

Still need to know what type of bulbs are in the dash, gauges, and doors. Some let me know or point to a thread that explains. Thanks

Search function pwns.

Here is one of the write-ups
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=431406

As for stock bulbs, it should be in your user's manual.

**Edit**I actually just spent about 10min looking for it in the FSM and I can't find it. Its usually easier to find in the chiltons or haynes or you can just go with wariow's write-up

I've been looking at the threads with LED mods but I dont feel like I know enough to do the same as the threads. I wanted to add stock size LED's because it will be bright enough for me. I don't know if I can get those tho...

If you get those, make sure to rub them with fine sand paper to prevent hot spots.

I didn't do it. Dave Sz did. Its not too hard, do you have a soldering iron? Its fairly easy if you have good direction.

Yeah I've got a cold heat soldering iron. Dad got it for christmas and I've been dying to use it haha. I havn't found too many good links. The one in the How ToFAQ was pretty good tho. I'm hoping just to replace the stock bulbs in the gauges with LED so I won't have to rewire. But I'm not sure if I can. I'll paint the needles I think as well. I need links for changing the autoclimate tho. I havn't found that anywhere. And hopefully goldfish can give me some info on the Bose system. Of if anyone has more info for changing Bose...let me know!

I'm just sanding my needles. I think a "clear" look would be hot.

Yeah I'm gonna decide when I get to that step I think. I agree, I think the clear would look hot.
I'm planning on just sanding then painting the needles (top and sides) with translucent paint. Hopefully should give the effect I want for now.
