Quick Question
Hey guys, I want to put leds in my gauges but I don’t really know anything about them. If u guys can answer these questions for me I would really appreciate it.
1. What size and type of leds do I need?
2. How many leds do I need to buy for my gauges?
3. Which is the best website to order the leds from?
4. what do I need to do to get my needles to light up as well?

ummm...usually you can't just buy any LED and have it work, because they usually only come in some voltages, and they burn up easy. The electrical rule of thumb is V=IR....where v is voltage, I is current, and R is resistance. Take the voltage your car produces, substract the voltage rating on the LED, and that is the voltage that you need to cancel out with a resistor. Solder the resistor to the positive side of the LED and give it juice. Good luck.

LED's shine in a certain pattern. Focused means that they will shine in a 35 degree (or other variation) arc in front of them. You can get focused, and the other type which emits light in a bigger arc to cover more area with light. I think that you could use focused if you want too...it'll make the gauges even brighter.
