Well cattman catback on redlinemax.com for $625 and somewhere else I saw it for less cant remember though. As far as quality, sound, design and customer service definitely without a doubt cattman. Go listen to Ceasars car. Go into the exhasut forum plus it doesnt sit quite as low as the greddy.

As far as the Greddy the least I've seen is $350 and that was on some non official distributor site...

In essence that extra money is well worth it budd I know money doesn't grow on trees but you want somethign that'll last forever and make you happy and if you need help you want immediate attention. When I ordered from Cattman the other day I ordered from the owner Brian doesnt get much better than that as far as personalized service.

cattman appeals to me because of the praise it gets, and its not that i can't afford it, i just have priorities that put a limit on what i'll pay for certain items. especially when exhaust isn't like a major performance mod, i guess it just depends why your buying it.

wow, you would think for the price the greddy would sit better. my obx hangs low in the same spot and i paid around $280 shipped for my stainless steel obx catback.

Does anyone have a Greddy SP2 and a Cattman cat-back soundclip just by itself no other mods? Is the b-pipe on the SP2 lower then the stock one?

I have yet to hear one as you most likely know catbacks are usually, and I say that for most not all are usually the last exhaust mod to go on besides maybe a high-flow cat they didnt put on earlier as in Ceasars case (think hes still running a stock cat though) anyways. If you do find one by some stretch post it up...

As far as my source the 4th and 5th gen. exhaust sticky's; everyone has other mods so. But listen go in the sticky and listen to the different setups thats what its there for unless you have already.

later,
Dylan

The SP2 hangs low if you use the stock rubber hangars; I had an exhaust shop put stiffer ones in and it hangs at stock height. I like the exhaust note however, it does get a little ricey in the high rpms which is why I had a second resonator installed. Now, it's a mellow tone when cruising and growls like a rabid pitbull at WOT.

Hey THT. How much did the rubber hangers cost? I know Courtesy Parts website has Nismo exhaust hangers, but they're about $15 a pop.

They were free. The shop gave them to me when I brought the car in to have the additional resonator welded in.

$15 for rubber hangers though??? I'm just trying to figure out how much a no name brand of stiffer hangers would cost. $15 is ridiculous, I don't care if its Nismo or not.

LMAO.. think I'm pickin up an SP2 this weekend. I'm getting so many good reviews for both, and the SP2 is half the cost of the Cattman. Thanks for all the input and pics guys! VERY helpful!!

the only thing i'm disappointed from greddy is that it doesn't sound low enough...

my TRD exhaust sounds waaaaay better than my greddy on maxima.

The SP2s are made of stainless steel, it's not been proven as to whether cattmann lasts longer or not.

Here a cattman clip off a 00-01 max just the cat-back

http://media.putfile.com/Cattman-Rea...st-Clip---VQ30

And here a SP2 with the following mods Short Ram Intake, Warpspeed Y-pipe, Magnaflow Hi-Flo Cat, Greddy SP2 Catback

http://media.putfile.com/video21a
http://media.putfile.com/greddysp265

The cattman has my vote. It sounds good and at the same time has no rice to it. I will be buying a cattman this summer

you're absolutely right when you go over some rail road tracks with the SP2 and its left lying back on the tracks and the Cattman is still perfectly fine on the max next to you we'll find out. I made no gesture towards materials.

first of all I find it hard to be serious with someone who has quagmire from family guy as their icon, but thats off the subject. Anyways yes they do use the same hangers but my good friend chris has the cattman and it uses stock hangers and guess what it doesn't hang near that low and so does my other friend nick and soon I'll have it as well so. (2) I've seen the pics of VIP's max and some others and that Greddy is hanging a considerable amount lower than the cattman and (3) I think you're a bit tense cause you have an SP2 and im giving the bad points on it.

Then don't be serious. I really could care less. I myself find it hard to be serious with someone who uses the ******* smiley face in two consecutive posts. Nor do I care that you're knocking on the SP2... I just don't want the starter of this thread to have bs information from a noob like yourself. So... you speak of experience when you say the SP2 will fall off on a railroad track?

Traffic... clever. Do us a favor and go play on railroad tracks with your "sexy" nismo hangers. You can argue both sides without sounding like a retard.

thats a diss?.. btw taking a side comment from a side conversation is less than intelligent, get some new material, a newer maxima maybe... who knows but this has gone way off topic due to you. just chill this arguments over as far as im concerned. If you'd like to feel validated you can think you won I don't care I just think as far as sound and everything considered he'd be happier with the cattman if he has the money otherwise go Greddy. later

just remember get some NISMO hangers and everything will be A-OKAY!!

Cattman definetly sounds great, but I think the tone of the SP2 sounds just as good. $600 for exhaust is kind of ridiculous. We aren't F-bodys.

I love the sound of Black Maxima's car it has a SP2. Check out the exhaust clip thread. The bpipe hangs low, but we have superior Nismo to take care of all that

what an @ss haha. Ah what can I say for some reason its not the fact thats its nismo its something about the logo that really gets me going.

(Btw I bought a Nismo shift boot, not by nismo of course but hardly anything on ebay is but it looks interesting and my grandma was a seamstress for Christian Dior, some designer dude. So in turn if it has any fitment thats where my bet is lying.)

Nismo cup holders are next, just kidding...

After I had the second resonator is installed, I have yet to hear a Maxima with a nicer exhaust tone than mine. Like I said, it's quiet but with a low rumble and at WOT, sounds like I've got two more cylinders.

There's nothing wrong with the greddy (you can fix the hangers w/o buying nismo hangers, all you need to do is wrap a hose clamp around each hanger, there are pics and discussion of this all over the org if you search)

There are also a ton of stickies and previous threads on this specific topic...search.

that being said, if you want the best overall quality go with the cattman...build quality, sound quality, fitment...all the cattman products are built to excellent standards.

the greddy is perfectly adequate, but if you wanna do it right the first time, look at previous posts, at least one person would have, in hindsight, gone w/ the cattman.

applicable cliche's "you get what you pay for" "it's more expensive for a reason"
