There are also a ton of stickies and previous threads on this specific topic...search.
what hangars are YOU talking about? most people have a problem with the b pipe not the tip, in fact the tip needs to be LOWERED in most cases, there fore the hose clamp mod doesnt work.
plus hangars will push the exhaust up putting stress on exhaust manifold or something, or at least it seems...

i'd get cattman if it was cheaper. didnt realize they were in the 600 range, either way, i just wanted something good, for a good price, and 470 still feels like alot. exhaust jsut doenst seem like THAT big of a deal to me...

4DRSpeed - Thanks for the compliments. Keep in mind that I also have a equal length Stillen Y-Pipe so that will make it sound better overall. I want to take more videos of my car. I will once it gets warmer and I find a camera man. If you would like to see more videos IM me.

I go over railroad tracks everyday, I still have my Catback. I'm down 3.5" and my B-Pipe hangs low. I don't see a problem...

I love this thread!!

Cattman is gonna cost me at least $600, possibly more with shipping.. I can get an sp2 right now, hardly used, and looking brand new, for $350. With that said, what do you guys think?

I think I'm gettin the sp2. I agree with the thought that $600 is a lot for an exhaust! You have to pay for quality, but for the deal I am getting, I think it's the way to go. If I were looking at the normal $500 for Greddy, and $600 for Cattman, then it would be obvious to throw in the extra and get the Cattman.

..BUT, in this case, the Greddy is about 1/2 the price, so thats what I'm leaning towards!

LilacLucymaxima - will you be in the Post Rd area on Friday evening around 6pm? If so, I'd love to meet up for a few and hear what yers sounds like in person.. sposta pick mine up this weekend! Let me know..

Awesome decision. Gotta put a $ limit on some things. And think about all the other great sh*t you can buy for the max with the money you saved.

this very true, but to a guy like me the perfect sound of a max is untouched by anything and I'll do anything to achieve that but then again when my grandparents died they had a lot of money and I get a certain amount per month for various reasons and stuff and I just hold on to it the best I can without buying beer and other stuff and I'm up to $900 but I'm saving it from the 3.5 swap. then comes the fun of the exhaust.

So if it really comes down to it my point is what really matter the most to you and you alone thats the key factor.

i think the sound of a V8 is untouched. Max will never ever sound as good as a V8 period.

I think if you had cattman headers just about any exhaust will sound pretty good on the Max.

No lie, WTF. Get what your budget affords. Both are SS, both are the top 10% of what you can buy, both fit reasonably well.

I went Greddy and it looks and sounds sooooo nice...

Sounds good! REAL good.. I was actually a bit apprehensive about picking it up because of some of the opinions on it! It has a nice, deep, mellow tone.. not at all ricey!

I dont mind posting a vid of the look and sound.. as long as someone doesnt mind giving me a site that will host said video..

Couldn't pass it up for the price!! and I'm glad I didn't!!

Every place I have seen that sells the greddy sp2 has it written up as for the SE model. Does it matter. Does the SE have something different underneath?

No, it will fit any trim model. Will fit GXE, SE, GLE. I heard that GReddy has only tested it out on a SE so that's why they claim that.
