looks like it replaces the entire ac and heat system. but i dont remember my thermostat panel being as tall as that LCD screen. you will also want to make sure that the max's thermostat plugs will fit into that system.

why dont you buy an aftermarket cd/dvd/nav/lcd all in one system that fits where the stock headunit used to be?

Maybe get a different one. It doesn't come with any of the Cd or antenna needed for GPS. So why waste? The system for $375+CD+GPS ant+ wiring harnesses?

hmm was just wondering....yeah im going for the avic d2 but just wanted to see if maybe you could removed the heat/air controls from the side of the screen and not use the head unit

pioneer is coming out with a new double din .... the avic z1 .... you may want to wait for that (7" screen as opposed to 6.5", 30GB hard drive - 10GB for music storage, bluetooth enabled, comes with the microphone for voice command, plays DVDs, enhanced navigation, works better with iPod adaptor and other accessories, etc.) .... check out their website for more info .... it's finally on there as of about 2 weeks ago
