Bose stereo on 1997 I30t

Hi all,

My 93 Max is gone ;(

Anyway, I'm getting a 97 I30t 5spd ;D

Can I use the amp adapter that's made for the 4th gen bose systems? I bought one for my 93 years ago and it worked fine, I never touched the speakers to upgrade. I'm interested in doing the same thing I'd done with my 93, and was wondering if there is a double-din bracket so that I can mount my single-din Kenwood deck in the Bose system's place. The reason I ask is that I already have an Aux to RCA converter for my ipod on the Kenwood deck. I've been reading up on some of the stereo stuff but I can't really find anything that explicitly says that the dashboard and the stereo are the same as the Maximas.

Thanks in advance,
John

I looked in there and it said anything pertaining to 4th gens should be posted here, that's why I'm asking here first because it appears that the stereos should be identical. I can go ask over there

I would use a single kit and put another wood push out pocket in so you have two one on top and one below the radio. Yes the 4th gen and 96-99 I30share the same Bose radios, speakers, and amps and many other parts.

Pushout Pocket

Sorry, I hate to even ask, but I honestly am not sure how many different 'wood' trims there are. I was wondering if you knew of a place where I can look that up for when I call the junk yards (because I'm assuming Nissan would want $150 for the pocket new)

Thanks

I30s wood tim is all the same as far as I know, 95-99 maximas have different wood colors. I30 color 96-99 is oxford burl just make sure it is a push out wood pocket, for the 1st gen I30s 96-99. You can get them on ebay for around $20 bucks plus ship.
