'99 Max with motostorm udp.
install went pretty smooth but i have a couple questions
1. The pulley's starting to make a noise. Kindofa metal on metal rubbing sound that increases frequency with rpm. not real harsh, but noticeable when the radio is off. Driveability is fine, no noticeable difference, except the increase in power. should i reinstall the pulley? maybe i didn't get it flush... but i tightened to the correct spec torque. any ideas?
2. the idle pulley tension adjuster (located directly to the passenger side of the engine block, accessed from the top.) doesn't seem to be adjusting the tension at all. When fully tightened (turned the nut clockwise) the bolt is not visible and the nut seems flush with the frame. however when the nut is fully loosened (counterclockwise) the bolt seems to stay in the same place and the nut lowers itself closer to the pulley. This results in no difference in tension for the belt.
Am i right in thinking that the tension adjuster NUT should stay put, and the bolt (along with the pulley) should be the one moving up and down? right now it seems like the pulley isn't even moving and just the nut is moving up and down.
or am i just completely off base here...?
sorry for the long post just wanted to be clear since i have no camera/pics readiliy available.

i have the same udp on the same model year max, and the only thing i've noticed since install is some squealing when i turn the car on but it goes away when it warms up.
I don't really understand what you saying about the tension bolt, but yeah, what he ^^^ said, metal on metal is bad.

thanks for the comments. i do realize that i shouldn't be getting this noise... which is why i'm asking for help.
i did replace the seal. and i did replace the belts with the recommended sizes.
any ideas on the idle tensioner? i want to reinstall the pulley, but will find it difficult if i can't loosen that belt. i'll try to get pictures, so you guys can figure out what i'm talkin about.
please help.

thanks for the help guys...
me and my bro fixed it... turns out the idle pulley tensioner was broken and the belt needed some major adjustment. but we got the parts replaced and all is well... noise is gone. she's back to normal. thanks again!

When I first did mine, there was a noticable noise that all my friends thought should not be there. Just the other day I got a smaller belt to bypass my AC and the car is stock quiet now.
