H&R perfomance without losing ride quality. I have tokicos on mine, which are pretty much the same as the H&Rs and i love it.

You got a pretty comfortable setup in mind (compared to others) you just won't be as low.

I have also wanted to upgrade, and both the Tokico HPs and Illuminas are said all throughout the forum to be decent. the general consensus is that theres not a sacrifice of ride quality when paired with the right springs. Eibachs, H&R, both about the same. Although I thought Tein's drop was a bit more agressive? maybe more of a racing stiff feel? Anyone have any of those set ups care to share and enlight?

I was going to do H-Techs and Illuminas on my car but the drop seemed odd. 1.6 F and 1.2 R? I feel like that will make the car look much lower in the front. Anybody got this setup?

well Eibachs are way stiffer than H&Rs ...Teins drop was too low for the soft rates they have....Eibachs will give u more aggresive feel than Teins

Max is a tad higher in the front from the factory anyway.

I need some advice. I'm saving up to replace my struts and springs. I've narrowed it down to the Tokico brand kits. What I need help with is I'm trying to decide whether to get the HP or the Illumina kit. What is the difference besides being able to adjust the Illuminas and price? Are the HPs too stiff like the GR2s or will they be a comfortable ride? I'm looking to improve the handling, lower it a bit, and a good ride. I've got a '96 SE with 118,000 miles. Thanks for any help.

H&R with KYB AGX or Illuminas for comfortable ride and nice drop without being overly aggressive.

I just installed the Tokico Illumina suspension kit on my car this past week. It comes with the tokico springs and illumina 5 way adjustable struts. I must say ride is great! Its nice on the everyday road but when you want to use it its there. I have my settings at 5 front and 4 rear. I might adjust it but Im liking the controlled bumps I get with it. Drove my car to Dallas, a 3 hour ride and it was very nice! Except when you get closer to Dallas. They have got to fix those roads. But it handled it well. I think the ride over those bumps wouldve been softer on settings 3 front and 2 rear. Gotta love adjustability. It states you get a 1.5 inch drop in front and 1.3 in rear but I think it went closer to the 1.75 in front and 1.4-1.5ish range in rear. I still like it though because its not too low but low enough and still gives you a great handling ride.
