tint

does anybody know how much it costs to get windows tinted? my 98 GXE came with no tent at all, and it bugs the crap outta me. too damn clear. thanks.

also, could some people post some pictures of there cars with aftermarket tint? here in utah i can legally get 50% on the front 2 windows, and go all the way to 5% on the back. if anybody has pictures of tint, please post them and say how much tint there is on the window.

Depends on where you go, shouldn't be more than $200.

it doesn't cost very much, maybe 150 for some alright tint, but more for good, quality tint.

i paid $200 with a lifetimewarranty...depends where you go though ...dont do any tints for 100 and under though..chances are they're poor quality..and if i were you look around for places that offer at least a 3 years warranty...chances are you'll crash or sell your car by then :-D

Mine was $225 about 3 years ago. I got the tint accross the front window as well. Without that strip, it was $190

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried that tint that you can buy yourself, like from autozone, and put it on yourself? I know it sounds pretty stupid but with the right tools I think it would be possible.

Here is the tint, not sure how much is there but:

It proably isnt worth the trouble, a professional shop should get it just right without any bubbled, etc

True, but then it will cost like 10x as much. The actual tint is what i'm wondering about, if it's good quality. I can probably get some help from a professional anyway, it's not a problem, but just wondering if anyone tried buying those tints, and if they're any good.

Buying the tints fomr autozone is what isn't worth it. Putting them on yourself will f them up. It takes a lot of time and percision to do it yourself. If you screw up it'll bubble and turn purple, then you have to remove them and s**t. Spending the money for a perfessional job is worth it. Get a lifetime warranty and don't think about it again. Do it right, get them done!

Do it yourself on the side windows because they are the easiest. Don't use atrius or whateve brand that start with an A.

Frodo, I believe mine is 35% on the sides. So check what glen gave you and my site. Should get a ballpark of where 30% is. Tint shop should show you as well if you need first person sight.
